ACRA And SGX RegCo Set Up A Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee To Advance Sustainability Reporting For Singapore

The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) have set up a Sustainability Reporting Advisory Committee (SRAC) to advise on a sustainability reporting roadmap for Singapore-incorporated companies. As part of its work, the Committee will provide inputs on the suitability of international sustainability reporting standards for implementation in Singapore.

Shenzhen Stock Exchange Further Tightens Its Regulation Over Convertible Bond Trading To Effectively Protect The Legitimate Rights And Interests Of Investors

To implement the Measures on Administration of Convertible Corporate Bonds, further guard against the risks in trading convertible corporate bonds ("CBs") and maintain the trading order in the market, Shenzhen Stock Exchange ("SZSE") has drafted the Implementation Rules of Shenzhen Stock Exchange for Convertible Corporate Bond Trading (Exposure Draft) ("Trading Rules") under the overall guidance of CSRC. Solicitation of market opinions started on June 17. Meanwhile, SZSE released the Notice on the Suitability Management of Convertible Corporate Bonds ("Suitability Notice"), with a view to further enhancing the investor suitability management of CBs and protecting their legitimate rights and interests. The Suitability Notice took effect on June 18.

The fact that today, more than 150 years after the end of slavery, the median wealth of white households is nearly eight times that of Black households is not because of random luck or hard work. The profound differences we continue to see in economic opportunity are the result of a failure to establish public policy grounded in the belief that all men are created equal.
