Grant Thornton Audit Pty Ltd (Grant Thornton) and former Grant Thornton director Bradley Laurance Willot Taylor have today appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court charged with failing to conduct the 2018 audit of iSignthis Ltd (ASX:ISX) in accordance with the Australian Auditing Standards. iSignthis changed its name to Southern Cross Payments Ltd (ASX:SP1) in May 2022.

Today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen met with United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahawi.  Secretary Yellen discussed efforts to hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and unjustifiable war against Ukraine, including progress toward a price cap on Russian oil to lower global energy prices and restrict Russia’s revenue.  Secretary Yellen highlighted the importance of collectively supporting Ukraine’s economic assistance needs.  She also noted recent passage of the historic Inflation Reduction Act, which represents the most aggressive action in fighting climate change in U.S. history, and discussed U.S.-UK climate cooperation in the lead up to COP27 in November.

Preliminary Annual Report On U.S. Holdings Of Foreign Securities At Year-End 2021

Preliminary data from an annual survey of U.S. portfolio holdings of foreign securities at year-end 2021 were released today and posted on the Treasury web site at (https://home.treasury.gov/data/treasury-international-capital-tic-system/tic-forms-instructions/us-claims-on-foreigners-from-holdings-of-foreign-securities). The final survey report, which will include additional detail as well as possible revisions to the data, will be released on October 31, 2022.
