• FTSE Russell launches the ‘FTSE EPRA Nareit Developed Extended Opportunities RIC 6/45 Capped Index’.
• The Index has been developed in collaboration with National Pension Service, and has been added to the existing FTSE EPRA Nareit Global Real Estate Extended Index Series, a standard index family
• Dynamic approach offered by FTSE Russell allows for NPS to target specialty sector REITs, with specific industry and tenant exposure
• NPS will allocate a total of USD one billion, with growth expected upon completion of equity portfolio strategy

ESMA Recognises Four New Third Country CCPs

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s financial markets regulator and supervisor, has recognised four additional third country CCPs (TC-CCPs) under Article 25 of the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), bringing the total number of TC-CCPs recognised by ESMA to 39.

• Updated Metrics. Data series containing daily cancel-to-trade ratios, trade-order volumes, hidden rates, and odd-lot rate metrics for Q1 2023 are now available. This data extends to 135 total months the data series you can view in the data visualization tool as well as download in CSV format. The visualization for quote-life data now defaults to Q1 2023.

Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer: Farmer Sentiment Improves; Less Pessimism Over Interest Rates

Farmer sentiment improved modestly in April as the Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer rose 6 points to a reading of 123. Both of the barometer's sub-indices were also higher in April, the Current Conditions Index was up 3 points to 129 and the Future Expectations Index was up 7 points to 120. The Ag Economy Barometer is calculated each month from 400 U.S. agricultural producers' responses to a telephone survey. This month's survey was conducted between April 10-14.
