The Council of Experts Concerning the Japanese Version of the Stewardship Code (Chairman: Professor Hiroyuki Kansaku, University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics) published the Principles for Institutional Investors (Japan’s Stewardship Code, hereinafter referred to as "the Code") on February 26, 2014.
The Council of Experts on the Stewardship Code (Chairman: Professor Hiroyuki Kansaku) revised the Code on May 29, 2017(Finalization of the Japan’s Stewardship Code (Revised version)(May 29, 2017)). -

At the end of the settlement date of July 29, 2022, short interest in 3,424 Nasdaq Global Market℠ securities totaled 10,421,775,644 shares compared with 10,591,951,910 shares in 3,422 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of July 15, 2022. The end-of-July short interest represent 3.25 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.11 days for the prior reporting period.

ISDA-Clarus RFR Adoption Indicator: July 2022

The ISDA-Clarus RFR Adoption Indicator was 46.4% in July 2022, flat compared to the prior month. The indicator tracks how much global trading activity (as measured by DV01) is conducted in cleared over-the-counter and exchange-traded interest rate derivatives (IRD) that reference the identified risk-free rates (RFRs) in six major currencies. On a traded notional basis, the percentage of RFR-linked IRD comprised 39.0% of total IRD in July compared to 39.8% the prior month.

EBA Consults On Technical Standards To Help Originator Institutions Determine The Exposure Value Of Synthetic Excess Spread In Securitisations

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on its draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on the determination by originator institutions of the exposure value of synthetic excess spread (SES) in securitisations. The Capital Markets Recovery Package (CMRP) amended the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) in several aspects, including a preferential treatment for senior tranches of simple, transparent and standardised (STS) on-balance-sheet securitisations. It also introduced a provision on how to determine the exposure value of SES in synthetic securitisations. The proposals set out in this Consultation Paper will contribute to a more risk sensitive prudential framework in the area of synthetic securitisation. The consultation runs until 14 October 2022.
