    • Cboe Japan has successfully completed the transition to Cboe technology on November 13, 2023, marking completion of a two-year integration effort. 
    •  The technology migration follows Cboe's acquisition of Chi-X Japan in July 2021 and will serve as the foundation to help Cboe expand in Japan and Asia-Pacific. 
    • Cboe BIDS Japan, is the migration of Kai-X, making it the second BIDS Trading offering in the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Monetary Authority Of Singapore Partners Industry To Develop Generative AI Risk Framework For The Financial Sector

    The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today announced the successful conclusion of phase one of Project MindForge which seeks to develop a risk framework for the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for the financial sector.     On November 15, 2023, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) Global Investors Conference 2023 kicked off in Shanghai. Fang Xinghai, Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Xie Dong, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and Qiu Yong, Chairman of the SSE, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, which was moderated by SSE President Cai Jianchun. Under the theme of "Building a New Development Paradigm and Promoting High-Quality Development", this conference attracted representatives from over 150 well-known domestic and global investment institutions. They came together to explore market, investment, and growth opportunities in China, build consensus on long-term optimism for the Chinese market, and discuss the high-quality development of the capital market. This conference serves as another important measure by the SSE to implement the spirit of the Central Financial Work Conference in promoting high-quality development of the financial market.

    The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has obtained disqualification and compensation orders in the Court of First Instance against former chairman and executive director of Kong Sun Holdings Limited (Kong Sun) and China Sandi Holdings Limited (China Sandi), Mr Tse On Kin, who admitted that he fraudulently obtained a secret profit out of the Kong Sun share placement and shares of China Sandi at a discounted price in a placement.

    An inaugural Japan Fintech Week 2024 will be held from Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8 with FIN/SUM2024 as one of the core event. FIN/SUM 2024 and a variety of fintech-related events will be held around the core week, bringing together global fintech global community to engage, connect, and collaborate on issues relating to the development of financial services, public policy and technology.
