  • ESMA Issues Positive Opinion On Amended RTS 1 And 2

    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s financial markets regulator and supervisor, has today issued a positive Opinion  on the European Commission’s (EC) review of the regulatory technical standards – RTS 1 equity and RTS 2 non-equity transparency – on pre-trade and post-trade transparency requirements under the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR).

    It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Lusaka Securities Exchange Plc (LuSE) Board and Staff informs the public of the untimely passing of the LuSE Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Priscilla Chikuni Sampa. She passed away on 18th December 2022 after a short illness.

    The total value of transactions during the month in review reached €4,14 million, with an average of €0,19 million per trading session. The Financials sector contributed 69,78% to the total value traded which was the highest among all other sectors. Investors primarily focused their interest on the shares of “Bank of Cyprus Holdings Plc” and also on shares of “Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd” with 48,32% and 15,49% of the total value respectively.

  • Discussing Ways To Enhance Communication And Cooperation Between The Amman Stock Exchange And The Palestine Exchange

    The CEO of the ASE, Mr. Mazen Wathaifi, received at the Exchange's headquarters on Thursday 15/12/2022 a delegation from the Palestine Exchange (PEX) represented by Mr. Samir Hulileh, Chairman of the Board, and Board Member Mr. Zeyad Barghouthy, General Manager Mr. Nihad Kamal and Mrs. Zakia Hanani   Senior Business Management, in order to enhance cooperation and relations, and in the presence of Mr. Bassam Abu Abbas, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Malak Al-Jazazi from the Communication and Media Department at the ASE. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance communication, joint cooperation and exchange of experiences between the ASE and the PEX, which comes as an embodiment of the close brotherly ties between the State of Palestine and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
