Information To Recipients Of Market Information In Connection With The Transfer Of Derivatives To CLICK

As announced in Briefing no. 93 the board of directors of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange and the FUTOP Clearing Centre has approved the rules regulating derivatives trading in CLICK and clearing via SECUR. The new systems will be introduced on 27 November 2000. The future platform for futures contracts on bonds has not been determined yet. ELECTRA will be closed down on 27 December 2000.

Trading in S&P 500/BARRA Growth and Value Index futures and options contracts on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) will move to the GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system beginning Sunday evening, Dec. 3, CME has announced.

Engen reported good interim results for the 6 months to 30th September 2000. Prior year comparatives for the same period have not been provided due to a change in year end. The current financial year is an 18 months period ending 30 March 2001. Turnover of P137.9m was 8.2% above the 6 months ended 30.03.00, with cost of sales up 15.8% over the same period, resulting in a decline of 19.1% in gross profit. The Stock Exchange of Thailand today released the summary of listed company operational results over the past nine months. Most listed companies reported improved operational results, with 232 companies reporting the net profit of 51,333 million baht, up by 134% from that of last year.
October Equity Options Volume Breaks Monthly, Daily And Open Interest Records

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced that options trading reached new heights in October as records were set for daily and monthly volume, and equity open interest. October volume was 70,079,672 contracts, which breaks the previous monthly record of 66,172,654 contracts set in March. The October volume surpassed October 1999 volume of 44,343,625 contracts by 58 percent.

Eurex World's First Exchange To Break Through 400 Million Contract Mark

Trading volume on Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, broke through the 400 million contract mark on Thursday. With 400,423,702 contracts traded, Eurex is the world's first derivatives exchange to top 400 million contracts. Eurex volume is now already more than 21 million contracts, or roughly 6 percent, ahead of the total volume traded in 1999.
