The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong: Amendments to the Exchange Listing Rules - Publication of Interim Results

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has amended the Exchange Listing Rules to permit listed issuers to publish summarised announcements of interim results in the newspapers provided that the full announcement of interim results is published on the Exchange’s website.

Due to the take-over of ASR verzekeringsgroep N.V. by Fortis (NL) N.V., ASR Verzekeringsgroep N.V. will be taken out of the Amsterdam Midkap-index® as of Monday, 18 December 2000. The weighting factor of ASR Verzekeringsgroep N.V. will be divided pro rato over the remaining 23 stocks. As a result of this the weighting factors for the remaining 23 stocks will change as of Monday, 18 December 2000.

Mark F. Duffy Elected As Vice Chairman of CBOE

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that its membership elected Mark F. Duffy as vice chairman of the Exchange and chairman of the Executive Committee for 2001. Duffy will serve a one-year term as vice chairman, effective at the CBOE's first board meeting on January 10, 2001.
HEX Group Expands E-Link Services

HEX Group´s service for cross-border transaction, Elink, is expanding to Holland and France. Today the Elink-services were opened to Necigef (Holland) and to Sicovam (France). Both links cover the most traded equities of these countries. However, it is possible to add other securities to the link when requested.
