    The New York Mercantile Exchange set new monthly and annual volume records during October. The annual volume records include: Crude oil futures with 31,924,594 contracts traded, exceeding the 30,495,647 contracts traded in 1998. Natural gas futures, which traded 16,252,078 contracts, topping the 15,978,286 contracts traded in 1998, and natural gas options with 3,225,551 contracts surpassing the 3,115,765 contracts traded in 1998.   • Corporation Of London Buys Back Spitalfields Site From LIFFE

  • PHLX Options Volume Continues Record Growth

    The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced that year-to-date volume in PHLX's 930 equity options reached a record 36,528,705 contracts traded, an increase of 18% over the same period last year when 30,967,178 contracts changed hands. In addition, equity options volume for the month of October reached 3,578,644 contracts traded.
