Nasdaq Announces Technical Problems Affected Trade Reporting And Quotation Systems

The Nasdaq Stock Market® today announced that, due to technical problems, the operation of its trade reporting and quotation systems was disrupted. The systems ceased operation at 15:40 p.m. Eastern Time and resumed operation at 15:57 p.m. Eastern Time.

NYMEX Board Votes To Lower Delivery Discount For Forties Blend And Create Qua Iboe Premium

The New York Mercantile Exchange board of directors has voted to decrease the discount received for delivery of Forties from $.35 per barrel to $.30 per barrel and to create a premium of $.05 per barrel for delivery of Qua Iboe.

Suspension Of Trading At SWX

The SWX Swiss Exchange discovered at 11.25 a.m. on November 11 that not all market participants were receiving the same information simultaneously, due to network problems. This led to suspension of trading. Despite the most intensive efforts by the SWX Swiss Exchange, it was not possible to resume trading. In the course of yesterday's incident SWX Swiss Exchange has decided not to take up electronic trading for today (12 Nov 1999). Off-exchange functionalities are available until 12:00 MET.
