    The Nasdaq Stock Market® reported yesterday that total assets in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex: QQQ) rose to a record level of $6 billion as of the previous day's close. The Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock is composed of Exchange-traded securities that represent ownership in the Nasdaq-100 TrustSM, a unit investment trust designed to track the performance of the Nasdaq-100 Index® .

  • Important Update To Gemstar International Group Limited's Inclusion In The Nasdaq-100 Index

    Due to Y2K preparedness efforts, The Nasdaq Stock Market® will accelerate the component change to the Nasdaq-100 Index® sooner than planned. Gemstar International Group Limited (Nasdaq:GMST) will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index, effective at the beginning of trading Thursday, December 30, 1999. Shares of Gemstar will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Gemstar will replace Qwest Communications International Inc., which is delisting from Nasdaq® . The
