  • Second Round Of Trading Currency Conversion On The Singapore Exchange

    On 1 March 2000, the Singapore Exchange announced that arrangements had been made to facilitate the conversion of foreign currency-denominated shares, whether listed on a primary or secondary basis, to the Singapore Dollar. Companies that wished to make the conversion were to have informed the Exchange by 12.00 noon on Friday, 17 March 2000.

  • NYSE Nominates 12 For Election To Board Of Directors

    The 2000 nominating committee of the New York Stock Exchange has named three new candidates for election and nine current directors for re-election to the Exchange's board of directors. All nominations are for two-year terms on the board, which consists of 12 public members, 12 industry members and two NYSE officers. The Exchange's membership will vote on the nominations on June 1.

    The Nasdaq Stock MarketĀ® reported today that total assets in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex: QQQ) rose to a record level of over $10 billion as of Friday's close. In addition, the two-for-one stock split announced on February 14, 2000 that it became effective prior to the market open today.

  • Eight New Stock Options On The Montreal Exchange - First Step Leading To The Full Transfer Of All TSE Options To The Montreal Exchange On March 27th

    The first step leading to the full transfer of stock options from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) to the Montreal Exchange began today, with the transfer of eight new stock options to the Montreal Exchange. As of March 27th, all stock options currently traded on the TSE will be transferred to the Montreal Exchange (39 stock options and 18 Long Term Equity Options (LEAPSĀ®). This transfer is in line with the restructuring agreement reached by Canadian Exchanges on March 15, 1999.
