The EBA Updates Report On The Monitoring Of The Liquidity Coverage Ratio And Net Stable Funding Ratio In The EU

The European Banking Authority (EBA) today published an updated Report on the monitoring of the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) and the net stable founding ration (NSFR) in the EU. This update is necessary in light of the banking turmoil experienced in March 2023, which highlighted the need for enhanced supervision of various liquidity aspects resulting from the change in the interest rate environment and related trends in deposit behaviour and concentrations.

After careful consideration, long discussions with my family, and lots of prayers, I have decided to step down from my position as Commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) at the end of the month, to pursue new opportunities. This decision is not easy, and it breaks my heart to leave the agency that I have grown to love so much over the last five years. It has been a privilege to work and serve at the CFTC in both the first and the current Trump Administrations, doing my part to assist in pursuing the President’s important policies.

ISDA Margin Survey Shows Leading Derivatives Firms Collected $1.5 Trillion Of Margin At Year-End 2024

ISDA has published its latest annual margin survey, which shows that initial margin (IM) and variation margin (VM) collected by leading derivatives market participants for their non-cleared derivatives exposures increased by 6.4% to $1.5 trillion at the end of 2024.

OroraTech, the global leader in wildfire intelligence and risk assessment, has extended its Series B financing round to €37m. The round was led by BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund, with participation from Rabo Ventures, and long standing investors Bayern Kapital, Edaphon, and the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF).
