The Kansas City Board of Trade has raised its minimum margins for wheat futures contracts. The changes, effective today, come as a result of increased market volatility and are as follows:

Kansas City Board Of Trade Wheat Options Set New Single-Day Volume Record

Trading yesterday in the Kansas City Board of Trade wheat futures and wheat options contracts was active, leading the wheat options contract to set a new single-day record of 11,374 contracts. The previous record of 9,530 contracts was set on June 6, 2002.

Euronext Revenues Increased By 1.7% During The 1st Quarter Of 2003

Euronext NV announces revenues of €246.1 million quarterly revenues, an increase on the €242million realised during the same period last year. Good volumes, both in the cash and the derivatives markets, combined with a strong increase in the sales of software, generated an increase in revenue of 1.7% on Q1, 2002.

CBOT®to Delay Trading In Its Agricultural Markets

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced an abbreviated agricultural trading session today, May 13, with trading beginning at 11:30am (Chicago time) for all its agricultural products. The market will close at its regularly scheduled time of 1:15pm. The only exception will be the CBOT rice contract which will trade according to its normal schedule.

Stockholmsbörsen: Considerable Interest In Liquidity Providers

The new system of liquidity providers is being introduced on Stockholmsbörsen today and, to date, 13 listed companies have decided to use a liquidity provider. The system is designed to create the conditions for more liquid trading that will result in lower costs and reduced risks for investors. Nine members of Stockholmsbörsen, that is, banks and brokers, have signed agreements with the Exchange under which they will act as liquidity providers.
