    The shares of CPFL Energia S.A. started to be traded at BOVESPA’s NOVO MERCADO on September 29, 2004. On the launching day, 5,221,600 shares of CPFL Energia(negotiation code CPFE3) were traded in 922 trades amounting R$ 90 .5 million. Since today CPFE3 has been included in the IGC - Corporate Governance Index.

This change is due to a rights issue offered at the issue ratio of 10:3. There will also be a change to the IWF.
