  • CBOT YTD Volume Through July Jumps 32.3% From 2003 Period

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that total exchange volume continued its strong performance, with year-to-date volume through July hitting 338,417,477 contracts, up 32.3 percent from January through July in 2003.  July 2004 volume totaled 43,335,019 contracts. Total exchange open interest at the end of July rose 30.5 percent to 11,822,859 contracts from last year.

  • CBOT Fed Funds July Settlement

    The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for July 2004 will be cash settled this morning at a final settlement price of 98-736, for an average daily effective federal funds rate of 1.264 percent during the delivery month. Please refer to the attached spreadsheet for more information regarding the calculation of this settlement.

  • American Stock Exchange Reduces Transaction Fees For Options - Second Phase Of Three-Step Process That Will Cut Fees From 30 Cents To 20 Cents

    The American Stock Exchange (Amex) announced today that, as part of its second phase of a three-step process, it has reduced transaction charges for equity options contracts. On May 1st transaction charges were reduced from 36 cents to 30 cents; August 1st they were cut to 25 cents; and on December 1st charges will drop to 20 cents. These are charges for Amex specialists and market makers.
