International Securities Exchange Will List Options On Spider ETF (SPY)

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that it intends to list options on SPDR® (SPY), an Exchange Traded Fund. ISE said the product will be allocated later this week.

Iceland Stock Exchange Three Minutes Of Silence Today 5 January At 12:00 noon

To honour the victims of the tsunami disaster in South East Asia on 26 December, the Iceland Stock Exchange observed three minutes of reflection and remembrance at 12:00 noon. The trading system was not be closed; however, we asked all ICEX member to respect the three minutes of silence.

CBOE Names Chicago Trading Company, LLC (CTC) As DPM In SPDRs Options (SPY)

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced it has selected Chicago Trading Company, LLC (CTC) as Designated Primary Market Maker in preparation for trading options based on Standard and Poor's Depositary Receipts (SPDRs), an exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of the S&P 500 Index. Details of a launch date for the options (ticker symbol SPY) will follow.

The American Stock Exchange (Amex) announced today it received rights to trade options based on all of the 21 Russell U.S. equity indexes, including the Russell 1000 Index, which tracks large-cap stocks, and the Russell 2000 Index, which tracks small-cap issues.

Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd celebrates its 10th year anniversary with planned introduction of e-IPO for brokers to accommodate new IPOs from more than 100 companies plan to list on both the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Market for Alternative Investment. New service is believed to be available for securities companies and brokerage firms in February 2005.
