Warsaw Exchange Announces The WIG Index New All-Time High

WIG, all-share index, closed at its highest ever level since its launch in April 1991. The market benchmark reached today the new all time high with 33,256.34 points. The previous record was set on September 15, 2005 with 32,916.96.

Sydney Futures Exchange Experiences Record Trading Volumes On The SPI 200™ Index Futures Contract

Sydney Futures Exchange experienced record daily trading volumes on Wednesday 14 September in the SFE SPI 200™ Index Future. A total of 162,871 contracts were traded, up 6.3% from the previous record set on 14 June 2005. Open interest remains at near all time highs of 320,754.

Suez To Replace Electrabel In BEL 20 If Bid Succeeds - Preliminary Announcement

The BEL Steering Committee today announces its decision to replace Electrabel by Suez in the BEL 20 if the bid by Suez is successful, conditional to whether the final prospectus on the bid does not contain elements preventing this. This decision is based on the application of rule 1.4(d.) of the rules of the BEL 20 index and takes into account the activities and shareownership of the proposed combined entity.
