S&P/MIB Options Hit New Daily Record

Standard & Poor's, the leading provider of independent investment research, indices and ratings, said today that the S&P/MIB index options reached a new volume record of 32,744 contracts traded on Wednesday October 19, 2005.

A regular seat sold on the New York Stock Exchange today for $2,900,000, up $50,000 from the previous regular seat sale yesterday. Today’s seat sale is $100,000 less than the record seat sale of $3,000,000 set on August 3, 2005.

International Securities Exchange To Offer Enhanced Sentiment Offering

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE) announced today that it will be offering an enhanced version of the ISE Sentiment Index(R) (ISEE(R)) early next year. The enhanced ISEE will allow subscribers to identify bullish and bearish investor sentiment for any issue traded on the ISE, including ISE proprietary and licensed indices and customized sectors.
