NYBOT To Reduce Fees For All Currency Pairs

The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today that effective with the start of trading on January 2, 2006, the Exchange is reducing the combined Exchange and Clearing Fee on all NYBOT Currency Futures and Options contracts other than the USDX® Index contract for all customer trades (both member and non-member), whether open outcry or Exchange for Physical trades (“EFP’s”), to $0.77 per side.

The U.S. blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 4.32% in NOVEMBER, closing at 10890.72. Stock market indexes in Europe, Asia and globally were up in NOVEMBER, according to preliminary monthly figures from global index providers, Dow Jones Indexes and STOXX Ltd.

NASD today announced charges against Kirlin Securities of Syosset, NY, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Kirlin Holding Corporation) and two Kirlin officials - Anthony Kirincic, the firms' co-CEO and Kirlin Holding's largest shareholder, and Andrew Israel, Kirlin's head trader - for their roles in a fraudulent scheme to artificially inflate the price of Kirlin Holding stock.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the appointment of Lucile A. Corkery as Associate District Administrator for Examinations in the Commission’s Boston District Office. In this position, Corkery will have overall responsibility for the Commission’s examination program in the six New England states and will direct a staff of accountants and examiners that conducts inspections of broker-dealers, investment advisers, investment companies and transfer agents throughout the region

CBOT 100oz. Gold Daily Volume Surges Past 10,000 Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT® ) announced today that daily volume for the Exchange’s 100 oz. Gold (ZG) futures contract set a new record of 10,339 contracts on November 28, surpassing the previous record of 8,320 contracts by 25 percent. The CBOT’s electronically traded Precious Metals Complex also hit a daily volume record of 16,057 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 14,830 contracts, an increase of eight percent.
