SEC Offers Incentives For Companies To File Financial Reports With Interactive Data

The Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that the Commission staff will offer expedited reviews of registration statements and annual reports to companies that volunteer for a test group as part of the Commission’s interactive data initiative. Interactive data holds the promise of transforming the static, text-only documents companies file with the SEC into dynamic financial reports that can be quickly and easily accessed and analyzed. London Stock Exchange: 33 Per Cent Increase In Value Traded On SETS In December - IPOs Raise A Total Of £16.2 Billion In 2005

December 2005 was a very strong month for trading on SETS, the London Stock Exchange's electronic order book, with a substantial year-on-year increase in the value traded. The average daily value traded on SETS during the month increased 33 per cent on December 2004 to £4.1 billion. December was the third month in a row in which the average daily value traded on SETS grew faster than the average daily number of trades, which was up 24 per cent on December last year to 207,860.

Ibovespa Breaks 4th Record Of The Year By Closing January 11 At 35,952 Points

Brazilian stocks closed Wednesday 11 at record high for the fourth time this year. The benchmark Ibovespa stock index ended the session up 2.58%% at 35,952 points, highest close since January 6, when it reached 35,475 points. The trading value registered on Wednesday 11 amounted to R$ 2.5 billion.
