RTS Classic Market: IV Quarter 2005 Market Data

For the fourth quarter of 2005 the total trading volume on Classic market equaled 2,7 billion US dollars compared with 2,9 billion US dollars in the third quarter of 2005. Daily average trading volume on the Classic Market in the fourth quarter of 2005 (October - December) reached 42,4 million US dollars compared with 43.9 million for the previous period.

For the 4th quarter of 2005 (October 1st – December 30th, 2005), total trading volume on the RTS Board amounted to 87,3 million US dollars, dwon from 127,5 million dollars in the third quarter of 2005. 2 510 trades were registered, down from 3 394 trades in the third quarter of 2005.

National Stock Exchange(SM) Reappoints David Colker CEO And President - Names Paul A. Arber Chief Technology Officer

National Stock Exchange (NSX(SM)) today announced the appointment of David Colker to a seventh consecutive one-year term as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Exchange. In addition, Paul A. Arber was appointed to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer. NSX's Board of Directors approved the appointments at its meeting on January 13, 2006.

NASD Enforcement Chief Barry R. Goldsmith Leaving To Return To Private Practice

NASD today announced that Barry R. Goldsmith, Executive Vice President for Enforcement, will leave NASD in mid-March to return to private practice. Goldsmith, 56, has served as NASD's senior enforcement official for nearly 10 years and has been responsible for overseeing the investigation and prosecution of disciplinary actions at the national and district levels.

In the fourth quarter of 2005 the first place of the most active-companies, working with options on FORTS Market, was taken by "OLMA", up from the second place in the third quarter, second place is now held by "ELTRA", down from the first place in the previous quarter.
