The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

The benchmark Ibovespa stock index ended the session up 1.64% at 38,014 points, highest close since January 24, when it reached 37,999 points. The value traded in the session amounted to R$ 2.9 billion, highest value since December 14, 2005 when R$ 4.5 billion were traded.
