The National Depository Center Of Russia Provides Access To Euroclear Bank

The National Depository Center (NDC) of Russia will provide greater opportunities for its clients in the international capital markets. Qualified members of NDC will be able to settle transactions and safekeep international securities via NDC’s account with Euroclear Bank with immediate effect. NDC and Euroclear SA/NV signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in April for information sharing and potential future co-operative initiatives.

FTSE And Impax Sign Agreement For Environmental Technology (Impax ET50) Index

FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the global index company and Impax Asset Management (“Impax”), the specialist environmental investment manager, have signed an agreement to further develop the Impax Environmental Technology (ET50) Index. From December 2007, FTSE will take over the calculation and management of the index, which will be rebranded the “FTSE ET50 Index” and will be available for investors to use as the basis of structured products, ETFs and index funds.

STOXX Further Expands Its Strategy Index Series With Supersector Short Indexes

STOXX Ltd., the leading European index provider, today launched 18 new sector indexes that will replicate a short investment strategy. The new indexes are based on the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Supersector Indexes, which represent the largest European companies in each of the 18 Supersectors defined by the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). The Dow Jones STOXX 600 Supersector Short Indexes are designed to underlie financial products such as exchange traded funds and structured products.
