The University of British Columbia (UBC) Faculty of Law and TSX Group today announced establishment of the “TSX Capital Markets Initiative at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law” within the UBC National Centre for Business Law. Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Monday, August 28, 2006: Gobi Gold Inc. (TSXVN:GGD) will change its name to East Energy Corp. The company will trade under the new ticker symbol "EEC" and the new CUSIP number 272128 10 9. The shares of the company will split 2-for-1.

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced that SGX AsiaClear will offer the clearing of OTC Balance-of-Month Fuel Oil 180cst and 380cst Swaps from Monday, 4 September 2006.
