The Frankfurt Stock Exchange is offering trading in 25 selected funds with a substantially reduced spread until 20 June to mark one year of mutual fund trading: the spreads guaranteed by the specialists have been reduced by as much as 90 percent; three funds are even being traded without a spread. Shanghai Stock Exchange To Test Platform Of Fixed Income Products

Upon initial demonstration and investigation, the "Comprehensive Electronic Platform of Fixed Income Securities" of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has recently completed essential development and simulative operation. The system's overall online testing is scheduled in the middle of June. After launch, the platform will become one of the main trading systems for fixed income products on the SSE market.

SEC Approves New Guidance For Compliance With Section 404 Of Sarbanes-Oxley

The Securities and Exchange Commission today unanimously approved interpretive guidance to help public companies strengthen their internal control over financial reporting while reducing unnecessary costs, particularly at smaller companies. The new guidance will enhance compliance under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 by focusing company management on the internal controls that best protect against the risk of a material financial misstatement.
