Deutsche Börse Admitted To Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50 - After DAX Admission At End Of 2002, Deutsche Börse Now Included In Two Benchmark Indices

Deutsche Börse AG has been included in Europe’s leading benchmark index, the Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50, since this Monday. The index contains the 50 largest listed public limited companies in the euro area. Deutsche Börse was admitted to the DAX, the benchmark index for the German equity market and the national equivalent of the European DJ Euro STOXX 50 index, back at the end of 2002.

Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen): Financially Stronger Banks Well Equipped For Increased Uncertainty

Swedish banks are only marginally exposed to the assets that are affected most by this fall's market turbulence. Rather, the increased risks are coupled to increased lending in the Baltic states. This is the finding of FI's report The stability of the Swedish financial sector, which will be submitted to the Government today.

PLUS Markets today posted its trading activity figures for the month of September which saw an overall increase against last year. Bargains were up 10.59% at 52,310; trade value increased 12.72% at £353.81m, and number of shares traded grew by 9.76% at 467.32m.

Financial services: European Commission Calls For Easier Public Access To Financial Information On Listed Companies

The European Commission is encouraging Member States to create an electronic network interconnecting the national repositories which store financial information on listed companies. The implementation of this recommendation will facilitate investors' access to historical information on companies’ performance and financial position as well as on changes in major shareholdings.
