September 2007 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was up 7.04% for the month of September. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Wheat, Coffee and Silver had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 12.70%, 12.13% and 11.37%, respectively. The worst three performing single commodity indexes were Lean Hogs, Zinc and Aluminum, which were down 8.27%, 7.32%, and 5.91% respectively, in September.
