NYSE Euronext Further Improves Market Efficiency Of Its European Cash Equity Markets With Increased Decimalisation

NYSE Euronext announced that it is extending “decimalization” from today to an additional tranche of 71 European stocks traded on its Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris markets to further improve market efficiency.

SGX Introduces Transition Measures For Catalist Non-Sponsored Companies

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) today announced measures to manage the transition process of Catalist Non-Sponsored (Catalist-NS) companies to the Catalist’s sponsored regime. It was announced on 4 February 2008 that Catalist-NS companies would be given a period of at least two years to undertake this process.

Trading Volumes On The Spanish Exchange Through August Increase By 4.53%.

In August, the Spanish stock exchange traded €67.34 bn. Trading in Futures and Options in August was 4.1 million contracts, up 43% from a year earlier. Highlights include Stock Futures, with 1.9 million contracts, up 308% from the previous year. Corporate Debt trading volume in August was €173.73 million, up 92.2% from a year earlier. ETF trading between January and August totalled €5.03 bn, up 106.5% from the same period a year earlier.
