As of January 19 , 2009 Dow Jones STOXX 600, down 3.24 points, or 1.68%, to 189.72. The index down eight of the last nine trading sessions. This is the lowest closing value since November 21, 2008. The index is off 53.21% from its record closing high of 405.50, set on March 6, 2000. The index is off 38.56% from 52 weeks ago. Year-to-date, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 is down 3.65%.

Monetary Authority Of Singapore Announces The Completion Of Singapore Dollar Sovereign-rated Sukuk

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today announced the completion of its sukuk issuance facility to provide Shariah-compliant regulatory assets. The joint arrangers of the Sukuk Programme are Standard Chartered Bank and The Islamic Bank of Asia (IB Asia) and the legal counsel advising on the transactions is Allen & Gledhill. This initiative was first announced at the 5th Islamic Financial Services Board Annual Summit held in Jordan in May 2008.
