UK's Financial Services Authority: Insider Dealing: Two Charged At City Of Westminster Magistrates Court

Neel Akash Uberoi of Kenley, Surrey, date of birth 22 August 1947 and Matthew Francis Uberoi of Kenley, Surrey, date of birth 12 December 1984 were today charged at City of Westminster Magistrates Court with 17 counts of insider dealing, contrary to section 52 of the Criminal Justice Act 1993.

Ontario Securities Commission Issues Temporary Order Prohibiting Short Selling of Certain Financial Sector Issuers

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) today issued a Temporary Order under Section 127 (5) of the Securities Act prohibiting short selling of securities of certain financial sector issuers that are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and are also interlisted in the United States (with the exception of one issuer whose shares are interchangeable).

US Federal Reserve Board Announces Two Enhancements To Its Programs To Provide Liquidity To Markets

The Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced two enhancements to its programs to provide liquidity to markets. One initiative will extend non-recourse loans at the primary credit rate to U.S. depository institutions and bank holding companies to finance their purchases of high-quality asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) from money market mutual funds. This should assist money funds that hold such paper in meeting demands for redemptions by investors and foster liquidity in the ABC
