HKEx Announces The Audit Committee’s New Composition

The Board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has today considered the composition of its Committees and the Consultative Panels following the re-appointment and re-election of directors yesterday (22 April 2010), and resolved to change the composition of the Audit Committee. The composition of other Committees and the Consultative Panels remain unchanged.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Extraordinary Clearing Margin For Rubber

With regards to the Rubber market, deposit of the below Extraordinary Clearing Margin is required from May 6th (Clearing period) for May 2010 contract and June 2010 contract, based on Article 3.3.C of the Rubber Market Detailed Rules.

HKEx: Re-appointment Of Chairman

The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”) today resolved to re-appoint Mr Ronald Joseph Arculli (“Mr Arculli”) as the Chairman of the Board (“Chairman”) for a further period of about 2 years until the conclusion of the annual general meeting (“AGM”) to be held in 2012.

CFTC Charges Carmine Garofalo With Illegal Trading On A U.S. Exchange - Garofalo Also Charged With Options Fraud

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that it charged Carmine Garofalo, an Italian citizen, with options fraud, engaging in fictitious transactions and trading noncompetitively in violation of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations. Garofalo has never been registered with the CFTC.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an order filing and simultaneously settling charges against San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E), an investor-owned regulated utility, in San Diego, Calif., for engaging in wash sales of New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) natural gas futures contracts.

SEC Charges Private Equity Firm And Money Manager For Defrauding Detroit-Area Public Pension Funds
