Deutsche Börse Commodities' gold reserve backing the Xetra-Gold bearer bond has grown to 50.038 tons. Each unit of the security is backed by exactly one gram of physical gold held in the vaults. At a price of €32.54 (Xetra price on 30 June) per unit of Xetra-Gold or per gram of gold, the current value of gold in custody is more than €1.6 billion.

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, fell 2.9% in June 2010 consistent with falls in a number of major global markets including: the US (S&P 500 Index) down 5.4%, the UK down 5.2%, and Japan down 4.0%. In contrast, some Asian markets saw rising values during the month with Singapore up 3.0% and Hong Kong up 1.8%.

On June 29,2010,the Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) held a meeting of the “FSA-SEC High-Level Dialogues (Dialogue)” in Washington D.C., the sixth of the bilateral dialogue held on a regular basis. The Dialogue was led by the FSA Commissioner Mikuniya and the SEC Chairman Schapiro and attended by other senior staff members from both organizations.

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced today the launch of its Summer Training Programme 2010 in which 17 students representing several schools and universities are participating in the annual programme over a 6 week period ending August 12th 2010. The students will be trained for 6 hours per day from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
