Schapiro regarding today's announcement by the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation that the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has appointed Leslie F. Seidman as FASB Chairman, effective immediately. Ms. Seidman has been a FASB member since July 2003 and has served as Acting Chairman since Oct. 1, 2010.

The international derivatives exchange Eurex intends to intensify its cooperation with the European Energy Exchange (EEX). The objective is to further strengthen Leipzig as a European center of expertise for energy and emissions products. In line with this, Eurex and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) today concluded an agreement that will allow Eurex to acquire LBBW’s stake in the EEX.
