DIFC Announces Consultation On New Digital Assets Law, New Law Of Security And Related Amendments To Select Legislation

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading global financial centre in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, has proposed to enact a first-of-its-kind Digital Assets Law, a new Law of Security and related amendments to select existing legislation to cater to the requirements of the DIFC’s proposed digital assets regime to other DIFC laws. The proposed legislative enactments, and amendments to existing legislation, aim to ensure DIFC Laws keep pace with the rapid developments in international trade and financial markets arising from technological developments, and to provide legal certainty for investors in, and users of, Digital Assets.

With this listing, the total value of bonds listed on Nasdaq Dubai issued by the Federal Government under this program add up to USD8.5 billion.

Amman Stock Exchange: The ASE Index Quarterly Review

Mr. Mazen Wathaifi the Chief Executive Officer of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) said that the ASE has conducted the periodic quarterly review of the ASE indices constituents in purpose of ensuring that these indices reflect the market performance and the trading activity of the listed companies. By this rebalancing, the activity of listed companies in regard to trading during the last quarter has been reviewed. After that, the ASE has conducted its screening process for all listed companies based on the criteria used by the ASE represented by full market capitalization of the companies and the number of trading days during last quarter.
