    The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. (CSI) have recently announced that the SSEF Index Series will be officially launched on July 1, 2011. The Series are made up of SSEF 200 Index, SSEF 300 Index and SSEF 500 Index.

  • Appointment To Monetary Authority Of Singapore Board Of Directors

    The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced that Mr Lawrence Wong Shyun Tsai, Minister of State for Ministry of Education and Ministry of Defence, has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Mr Wong’s term of appointment will be from 10 June 2011 to 31 May 2013.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

    Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, June 9, 2011:

    • IC Potash Corp. (TSXVN:ICP) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on TSX under the same ticker symbol.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes:

    • It is expected that the shareholders of International Coal Group, Inc. (NYSE:ICO) will accept the $US14.60 cash per share offer from Arch Coal, Inc. (NYSE:ACI). The bid for International Coal expires before the opening of markets on June 14, 2011. Assuming the bid is successful, International Coal will be removed from the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index after the close of Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
