  • NYSE Liffe To Launch Equity Options On NSI N.V.

    NYSE Liffe, the European based derivatives business of NYSE Euronext (NYX), will add options on the shares of investment company NSI N.V. (“NSI”) to its highly successful range of equity option classes. The options will be available as of 23 April on the Amsterdam derivatives market of NYSE Liffe.

  • SGX And China Financial Futures Exchange Collaborate To Develop Derivatives Markets

    Singapore Exchange (SGX) and China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the development of the derivatives markets in China and Singapore.  The agreement was signed in Beijing, China, between Mr Rong Zhiping, Deputy CEO of CFFEX and Mr Magnus Böcker, CEO of SGX.

    REGIS-TR, the European Trade Repository owned by Clearstream (Deutsche Börse Group) and Iberclear (BME) trusts its submitted application for registration will benefit from the full guarantee of being accepted by ESMA. This is due to the comprehensive discussions REGIS-TR has been involved in with ESMA in order to verify the compliance, accuracy and completeness of its business offer. Consequently, it is confident it will obtain the license in the minimum period stipulated by the regulation and that ESMA is expected to start granting licenses from 25 June.

In addition to the presentation of the Excellence Award, the current developments on the market for emission allowances formed the focus of attention at the spring reception. Against this background, EEX was pleased to welcome Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action, and Matthias Groote, Chairman of the Environmental Committee of the European Parliament, as guests of honour.
