IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global markets and clearing houses, announced today it will introduce two new Russell Index futures contracts. NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, today announced the launch of NYSE BQT (Best Quote & Trades), a consolidated XDP feed that provides a real-time, unified view of Level 1 market data, including Best Bid/Offer and Last Sale information for the NYSE, NYSE Arca, and NYSE MKT exchanges including NASDAQ issues traded on NYSE Arca and NYSE MKT. NYSE BQT is a more flexible and affordable alternative to the range of expensive Level 1 market data offerings currently available.

Burgundy - Introduction Of Circuit Breakers For Certain Instruments

In connection with the Burgundy migration to Millennium Exchange, circuit breakers will be defined for a selection of instruments I the "Most traded" segments (CMT, HMT and SMT). The limit for the circuit breaker will normally be +/- 10% from last traded price. When a circuit breaker is triggered, the instrument goes into an auction ("Re-opening the Auction Call") which lasts for one minute.

Bloomberg: Lawsuit Filed Against The CFTC To Hault The Implementation Of Flawed Swaps Regulation

Yesterday afternoon Bloomberg filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to prevent the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from implementing flawed regulation relating to the clearing of swaps that will put our financial markets in jeopardy.
