S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices - A Deletion From The S&P/TSX Composite And Global Mining Indices

S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
The shareholders of Uranium One Inc. (TSX:UUU) have voted to accept the terms of a Plan of Arrangement with majority shareholder JSC Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ) whereby the shares of Uranium One will be acquired for cash consideration of $CDN2.86 per share. Uranium One will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Completion, the S&P/TSX Global Mining, and the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight Indices after the close of trading on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Note that Uranium One is already scheduled to be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite High Beta Index after the close on Friday, March 15, 2013.

The report is based on data, obtained from the millions of transactions processed by and entrusted to I&RS, available through its online Analytic Reporting for Annuities information service.

Canadian Securities Regulators Seek Comment On Early Warning Reporting

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published for comment proposed amendments and changes to the early warning reporting regime in Canada, including to Multilateral Instrument 62-104 Take-Over Bids and Issuer Bids, National Instrument 62-103 Early Warning System and Related Take-Over Bid and Insider Reporting Issues and National Policy 62-203 Take-Over Bids and Issuer Bids.

DTCC Welcomes First Non-Domestic Members To The Government Securities Division

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced today the first non-domestic members of the Government Securities Division (GSD). Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, UFJ, Ltd, are now active GSD members, reflecting DTCC’s growth and expansion in the global marketplace. GSD is a division of the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC), a subsidiary of DTCC.
