Thomson Reuters Acquires OTC Derivatives Pricing Analytics Provider, Pricing Partners - Addition Builds On Thomson Reuters Leading Position As A Provider Of Independent Evaluated Pricing To The Global Financial Community

Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced that it has acquired Pricing Partners SAS, an international software developer and provider of OTC (over-the-counter) derivative pricing analytics and services for financial firms. Pricing Partners will complement Thomson Reuters Pricing Service (TRPS), a global solution that provides evaluated prices to support portfolio, fund and single security valuations.

European Central Bank Consults On Draft Regulation On Oversight Requirements For Systemically Important Payment Systems

The European Central Bank (ECB) today publishes for public consultation a draft of its regulation on oversight requirements for systemically important payment systems. The draft regulation aims to implement in the euro area the “Principles for financial market infrastructures”, introduced in April 2012 by the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) of the Bank for International Settlements and the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). It will replace the “Core principles for systemically important payment systems”, developed by the CPSS, which the Eurosystem adopted in 2001 and has since been implementing.

NYSE Euronext Appoints Jim Tehupuring As Head Of Retail Europe

NYSE Euronext today announced the appointment of Jim  Tehupuring as its new Head of Retail Europe as of June 1st. In this role Jim  will be responsible for the retail strategy and offering of services towards  retail investors in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Portugal.

Oslo Børs To Undertake NIBOR Fixing

Finance Norway wants Oslo Børs to be in charge of the calculation of the Norwegian Interbank Offered Rate, NIBOR. Oslo Børs will also undertake the supervision of the filing of interest rates from the banks that constitute the base for the calculation of the interbank rate. Through this new scheme, Oslo Børs will provide a recognised and neutral framework for determining the NIBOR.
