NYSE: The First Board Meeting Of EnterNext Defines Its Missions And Priority Goals

In its first meeting, held yesterday and chaired by Eric Forest, the EnterNext Board of Directors clearly defined resources and priorities following announcements made on May 23.

Clearstream’s June 2013 Figures - Assets Under Custody Up By 5 Percent Compared To June 2012 - Increase Of Settlement Activity In Both The International And The German Market - Investment Funds Transactions Increased By 32 Percent YTD

In June 2013, the value of assets under custody held on behalf of customers registered an increase of 5 percent to EUR 11.6 trillion (compared to EUR 11.1 trillion in June 2012). Securities held under custody in Clearstream’s international business increased by 2 percent from EUR 6.0 trillion in June 2012 to EUR 6.2 trillion in June 2013 – while domestic German securities held under custody increased by 7 percent from EUR 5.0 trillion in June 2012 to EUR 5.4 trillion in June 2013.

Report On The Regulatory Consistency Of Risk-Weighted Assets In The Banking Book Issued By The Basel Committee

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has today published its first report on the regulatory consistency of risk-weighted assets (RWAs) for credit risk in the banking book. This study is a part of its wider Regulatory Consistency Assessment Programme (RCAP), which is intended to ensure consistent implementation of the Basel III framework. The study draws on supervisory data from more than 100 major banks, as well as additional data on sovereign, bank and corporate exposures collected from 32 major international banks as part of a portfolio benchmarking exercise.

Capital Requirements For Banks' Equity Investments In Funds - Consultative Document

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision today published a set of proposals that would revise the prudential treatment of banks' equity investments in funds. The Basel II framework outlines the current treatment of banks' equity investments in funds under the Standardised Approach and the Internal Ratings-Based (IRB) approaches for credit risk and the Committee believes that the existing standard would benefit from further clarity in some areas. In addition, it does not require banks to reflect a fund's leverage when determining capital requirements associated with their investments in a fund, even though leverage is an important risk driver. In reviewing the existing Basel II standard for banks' equity investments in funds, the Committee's objective was to develop an appropriately risk sensitive and consistently applied risk-based capital regime. The Committee believes the revised standard will more appropriately reflect the risk of a fund's underlying investments and its leverage.
