Eurex Clearing To Act As CCP For SL-x Trading’s Innovative European Securities Lending Platform

Eurex Clearing, one of the world’s leading clearing houses, and SL-x Trading Europe (SL-x) have signed an agreement whereby Eurex Clearing will act as clearing house for securities borrowing and lending (SBL) transactions executed via SL-x’s innovative and patents pending electronic trading platform.

HKEx: Change In Senior Executive

Reference is made to the announcement of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEx”) dated 27 August 2013 in relation to the appointment of Mr Garry Jones (“Mr Jones”) as the Chief Executive of The London Metal Exchange (“LME”), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of HKEx, and as a member of the LME board. HKEx is pleased to announce that The Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom has no objection to these appointments.

Fixnetix, global managed services provider for ultra-low latency market data, trading and risk control, announced today a continued path of growth spanning three continents, North America, Europe and Asia. The London-based company has become an extranet provider for Aquis Exchange, a pan-European venue slated to start trading by years end. Fixnetix is also a Network Service Provider (NSP) and Vendor of Record (VOR) for market data at Direct Edge, a growing equity market who recently announced a merger with BATS. For Fixed Income, Fixnetix offers trading and market data for EURO MTS. On the risk control front, Fixnetix has deployed iX-eCute, the ultra-low latency pre-trade risk FPGA which is executing trades in Canada (TMX) the USA (Nasdaq) and Japan (TSE).

Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE): Futures With A New Multiplier

- Today the WSE has introduced to trading WIG20 futures with a multiplier of PLN 20.
- Futures with a new multiplier will eventually replace the currently listed futures with a multiplier of PLN 10.
- The change of multiplier also applies to prospective WIG30 futures.

Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) Starts To Publish Indices WIG30 And WIG30TR

- Today the WSE starts to publish WIG30, an index comprised of the 30 biggest and most liquid stocks listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
- The new index is a better reflection of the size and sector diversity of companies listed on the WSE.
- WIG30 will be the underlying of new index futures and options to be introduced to trading in late 2014.

Dubai Mercantile Exchange Reaches 5 Billion Barrels Traded Milestone

Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME), the leading energy futures exchange in the Middle East, today announced a new record by reaching the 5 billion barrel mark, with a total of 5 million contracts (eqv. 5 billion barrels) traded on the exchange. This milestone comes just 7 months after the DME passed the 4 billion barrels mark and continues the strong growth trajectory in trading volumes across the last 12 months.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (the SSE) has improved the assessment system of listed companies’ information disclosure and formulated the “SSE Measures (Trial) for Assessment of Listed Companies’ Information Disclosure (Draft Version)” (the “Measures” for short) and the remarks on its drafting (see Attachments 1 and 2), in order to meet the new situation in regulating listed companies’ information disclosure after implementation of the direct channel for information disclosure, enhance transparency in regulation, and improve the quality of listed companies’ information disclosure.
