European Energy Exchange: Growing Interest In Trade Registration Service – First Trade Registered In Romanian Power Futures

Yesterday saw the first trade in Romanian Power Futures registered on the European Energy Exchange (EEX) for clearing via European Commodity Clearing (ECC). The 10 MW December 13 trade, priced at EUR 37.50 per MWh, was concluded between GEN-I d.o.o. and another trading participant having been matched by the broker TFS Derivatives Limited (TFS). The volume amounted to 7,440 MWh.

NYSE Euronext U.S. Options Exchanges To Begin Trading Options On TWTR Friday, November 15 - Will Be Added To Weekly Option Series

NYSE Euronext U.S. Options today announced that its NYSE Amex and NYSE Arca options exchanges intend to begin trading options on Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) at the market open on Friday, November 15. Pending regulatory approval, NYSE Amex Options also intends to select TWTR for the listing of Short Term Option Series, with series expiring on the next five consecutive Fridays.

EGX Denies Any Upcoming Meeting With CBE

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declares that all news stated about an upcoming meeting between EGX & The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is totally incorrect. The foreign currencies exchange rates are an issue to be decided on by only the Central Bank of Egypt. EGX confirms as well that there was never and will not be a meeting with (CBE) to discuss this issue.

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) today announced that “Mashreq Securities” has been accredited to provide Direct Market access (DMA) for global brokers lifting the number of DMA service providers to 5 brokerage firms. The exchange is currently processing similar applications from other brokerage firms in collaboration with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
