New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority: Bridgecorp Settlement

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has consented to an $18.9 million settlement between the receiver of Bridgecorp, the Bridgecorp directors, and their liability insurers. FMA has agreed to end its own civil proceedings against the Bridgecorp directors once the settlement sum has been paid.

Deactivation Of Bovespa FIX And Soma FIX

The BOVESPA FIX and SOMA FIX platforms will be deactivated in the second quarter of 2014. Trading of corporate fixed income securities will be migrated to the BM&FBOVESPA PUMA Trading System and market data content will be distributed at UMDF PUMA 2.0, with channel 61 restricted to the BTC market data feed (External Communication 003/2014-DI). There will also be a change to the conversion of data for the ProxyDiff platform (detailed in its Manual). We recommend that customers that are already certified connect to the New Release environment as soon as these changes are available to check how their applications are working. The UMDF PUMA 2.0 and the ProxyDiff specifications are already on the BM&FBOVESPA website.

FIA Elects Directors And Officers

FIA today announced the election of board directors at its annual meeting in Boca Raton, Fla. Fifteen directors were elected in total at this meeting, including eight regular member directors for two-year terms; two regular member directors for one-year terms; four associate member directors for two-year terms; and one associate member director for a one-year term. Following the election, the new board elected the association’s officers and public directors.
