A major UK payday lender has exited the single instalment payday loan market (i.e. loans that must be repaid in one lump sum) and promised to change the way it offers loans and treats customers struggling to repay their debts, following an agreement with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Deutsche Börse Offers Full Transparency For Leading Eurex Benchmark Futures

Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services has launched Eurex Order by Order, a new information product that makes available the entire Eurex order book for benchmark futures for the first time. Eurex Exchange, owned by Deutsche Börse, is a leading international derivatives marketplace that offers more than 1,900 products across a growing range of asset classes. Overall trading volume in 2013 totaled 1.6 billion contracts.

In a speech on Tuesday, Jon Cunliffe reviews the progress made by regulators in addressing the issue of Too Big To Fail and sets out some remaining issues. He describes the two-pronged approach taken by regulators: first, to reduce, but not eliminate, the probability of failure by increasing the resilience of financial institutions; second, managing the impact of failure via the resolution framework and by making investors bear losses.

Xetra/Börse Frankfurt: First Renminbi Bond Listed In The Regulated Market

The first bond denominated in Chinese renminbi was listed in the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange today. This enables more than 230 trading participants in 18 countries to trade this bond on a transparent and efficient market.
