ESMA Registers ModeFinance As Credit Rating Agency

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has formally approved the registration of modeFinance S.r.l., based in Trieste, Italy, as a credit rating agency (CRA) under Article 16 of the CRA Regulation. The registration takes effect from 10 July 2015.

Assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Canada increased 2.6% in the first half of 2015, according to ETFGI’s preliminary ETF and ETP global insights report for the first half of 2015. At the end of June 2015, the Canadian ETF industry had 367 ETFs, with 521 listings, assets of US$68 Bn, from 11 providers listed on 1 exchange.

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has issued the “Opinions on Promoting the Innovative Development of Northeast China Rust Belt and Creating New Competitive Edge” (the “Opinions” for short), in which it calls for strengthening the policy support for Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) to develop and list new products and pilot agri-product options. This has further added impetus for Dalian futures market 's development.
