HKFE Announces Revised Margins For China Life, CNOOC And Sinopec Corp Futures Contracts

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Monday, 8 December 2014, the minimum margins to becollected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company’s normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

ESMA And Australian Securities And Investment Commission (ASIC) Sign MoU On Trade Repository Data

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) have concluded aMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) on access to data held in European trade repositories . The MoU is effective as of 26 November 2014.

The average daily turnover for the first 11 months of 2014 was $66,895 million, an increase of 6 per cent when compared with $63,097 million for the same period last year.

There were 105* newly listed companies for the first 11 months of 2014, an increase of 35 per cent when compared with the 78* for the same period last year.

Funds raised through IPOs for the first 11 months of 2014 was $141,015 million, an increase of 46 per cent when compared with $96,558 million for the same period last year.

Total funds raised (including from IPOs) for the first 11 months of the year was $728,836 million, an increase of 167 per cent when compared with $272,697 million for the same period last year.
