    Singapore Exchange will upgrade its derivatives trading and clearing platforms to further strengthen Singapore’s market infrastructure and to support the strong volume growth in SGX’s derivatives business.

  • Singapore Fixed Income Indices (SFI) Weekly - 29 December 2014

    Key highlights for the week ending 26 December 2014

    • The SFI gained 0.20% to 119.485.
    • YTD, the STI currently outperforms the SFI by 2.02% (+5.88% vs. +3.86%)
    • The SFI series of indices closed higher this week, offsetting some of the losses for the month.Gains this week were largely from government bonds (SFI Government Bond index), ahead +0.24% although still down 0.74% month-to-date. 
    • The SFI and STI have gained across 35 and 31 weekly periods, respectively, in the last 52 weeks of 2014. YTDthe daily correlation between the two indices is approximately -16%. (Same period last year was approximately: 24%)
    • YTD, there are 86 new constituents (market value: over S$19Bn) included in the SFI.
    • The SFI will be rebalanced on Friday, 2 January 2015.

  • Shanghai Futures Exchange: Notice On Market Risk Control During New Year’s Day 2015

    According to the Announcement on Trading Schedule during National Holidays for Year 2015 of the Exchange, the Exchange futures markets will be closed from January 1 through January 3 (holiday) and on January 4 (weekend). According to the Risk Management Rules of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, we decide to adjust the trading margin requirements and price limits for each product around the New Year’s Day.
