ICAP Plc Response To European Commission Decision

ICAP plc (IAP.L), a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services, notes today’s decision of the European Commission (EC) to issue a fine of £11.3 million. This allegation relates to Yen Libor and is based on the same underlying matters that ICAP Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of ICAP's Global Broking division, settled with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in September 2013.

Antitrust: European Commission Fines Broker ICAP € 14.9 Million For Participation In Several Cartels In Yen interest Rate Derivatives Sector

The European Commission has fined the UK based broker ICAP € 14 960 000 for having breached EU antitrust rules by facilitating several cartels in the sector of Yen interest rate derivatives (YIRD). In December 2013, the Commission already imposed fines on a number of major banks that decided to settle the case with the Commission.

ASX Group Monthly Activity Report – January 2015

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, rose 3.0% in January 2015. This performance was stronger than all other major markets except Germany which was up 9.1% and Hong Kong up 3.8%. The UK was up 2.8%, Japan up 1.3% and Singapore up 0.8%. The US was down 3.1%.
