Bank Of England Consultation Paper: The Bank Of England’s Power To Direct Institutions To Address Impediments To Resolvability

The Bank of England, as the UK resolution authority, is today launching a three-month consultation on its proposed approach to exercising its statutory power to direct institutions to address impediments to their resolvability. The purpose of the consultation paper is to describe the context of this new power, which was introduced into the UK special resolution regime following transposition of the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (2014/59/EU), and to consult on a proposed Statement of Policy regarding that power, as required by section 3B (9) of the Banking Act 2009.

SGX And Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange Seal Collaboration With MOU

Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on efforts that jointly develop and expand the commodities markets in China and Singapore. The agreement was signed in Singapore, between Mr Zhangfan, Chairman of ZCE and Mr Magnus Böcker, CEO of SGX on Friday, 22 May 2015.

SFC And CSRC Sign Agreement On Mainland-Hong Kong Mutual Recognition of Funds

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) have signed a Memorandum of Regulatory Cooperation on Mainland-Hong Kong Mutual Recognition of Funds, which will allow eligible Mainland and Hong Kong funds to be distributed in each other’s market through a streamlined vetting process. The scheme will be implemented on 1 July 2015.
